These are someone else’s hallways,
Someone else’s street lights.
I want to dance in someone else’s night time,
Instead of drowning in my own past life.
Our only goodbye, the summer weather.
Wind picks up, not enough to blow you away.
Ashes from our fire, my only companion.
The leaves change in color, but they always fall the same.
I’m the only one left here to remember, 26 Septembers.
If my world was mine
Yours was just yours
You would have never walked by.
Instead of entwined,
Your world would go on, and mine side by side.
Now our lives tangled together, perfectly entwined.
